 nt resilience\, capturing the delicate dance of endangered insects and rep
 tiles against the backdrop of our cultural\, scientific\, and spiritual sy

 Simon Ford : \n\nSimon Ford is a full-time artist living and working in h
 is  home studio in Woodstock\, Cape Town. He completed  his MFA at Micha
 elis Art School in Printmaking in 1983.\nOver the years he has exhibited i
 n both group and one  man shows around Southern Africa and abroad.  His 
 work is held in both public and private collections around the world. He l
 ectured and taught Art and Design  in major institutions in Johannesburg 
 and Cape Town. Ford now works prodigiously in a variety of mediums  and h
 as exhibited many series of works in screen printing\, mixed media and pai
 nting. These include Street Graphics\, Change\, Tribute to Helen Martins\,
  Carnival\, 100 Trees  and numerous Open Studio exhibitions and the serie
 s of acrylic paintings of endangered insects and reptiles titled Circles o
 f Life. At present he is working on a collection of  gelliplate monotype
 s which are based on his intuitive response to his natural environment.
