 oin us for a photo exhibition and discussion about tattoo culture in Mitch
 ells Plain. A world away from the sleek tattoo studios of the City Bowl\, 
 artists in Mitchells Plain use bedrooms\, living rooms\, and yards as make
 shift studio spaces. A few have professional tattoo machines\, while other
 s have built machines from odds and ends they collected around their neigh
 bourhoods. Most have learned their art from YouTube videos\, practicing on
  themselves in lieu of formal training.\n\nTheir will to make it as artist
 s is a testament to what it takes to create meaning and money from tattooi
 ng in one of the world’s most unequal cities.\n\nExhibition from 4 to 30
  May.\n\n\nOpening: 6pm - 8.30pm\nMonday - Friday: 10am - 5.45pm
