SUMMARY:First Thursdays: Mosey on Down — Timo Osse
DESCRIPTION:\n\nWhat if the places we pass every day could become something
entirely different?\n\nCape Town-based artist Timo Osse explores this ide
a in Mosey on Down\, an exhibition inspired by memories\, imagination and
the places that connect us.\n\nWorking with acrylic paint on the underside
of upholstery off-cuts\, Timo transforms an unexpected material into colo
urful\, dreamlike landscapes.\n\nDrawing on walks through Cape Town and me
mories of travels abroad\, his paintings bring together familiar streets\,
distant places and imagined worlds. From Loop Street to the Himalayan mou
ntains\, fragments of different landscapes overlap\, creating playful scen
es where the urban environment meets nature.\n\nAn engineer\, entrepreneur
and self-taught artist\, Timo approaches creativity with curiosity and hu
mour. His work invites us to slow down\, look closer and rediscover the wo
nder hidden in everyday surroundings.\n\nVenue: Alliance Française du Cap
 \, 155 Loop Street\, Cape Town CBD\nEntrance: Free\n\nFor more information
