Vocalist & songwriter Maya Spector’s voice has been described as pure honey, with darkness and sweetness that tells her stories convincingly. Her artistic roots derive from the worlds of Jazz and Soul music. As a global citizen, Maya is steeped in the cultural attributes of communities and audiences in the Far East,  the USA, and South Africa.

Since graduating in 2001 from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, specializing in Jazz Performance and Music Education, Maya has left her mark as a soloist in musical theatre and in multiple classic musicals, original solo works, and band concerts ranging from classical to jazz.

Maya’s highly-anticipated debut album entitled, ‘Honey & Heartache’ was released in 2020 to unbridled delight.
