Alliance Française du Cap offers a certified translation service of administrative documents from French to English and from English to French.
FRENCH-ENGLISH AND ENGLISH-FRENCH SWORN TRANSLATIONS
We offer a certified translation service where all completed translations are signed and stamped by a sworn translator of the High Court of South Africa.
As such, these translations are suitable for administrative procedures such as university registration, visa applications, including other official procedures. Also, they are recognised in both South Africa and France as well.
The following documents are included in our translation services: identity card, birth certificate, diploma and certificate, passport, marriage certificate, driving licence, transcription of academic notes, death certificate, divorce certificate, change of name, certificate of residence, certificate of celibacy, employment contract, etc.

2) Express translation service – translation done in 1 day (not the same day, but the very next day).

Alternatively, you can also come in to the Alliance and present your documents at the reception desk during our opening hours from Monday-Friday at 10:00am-15:00pm.

Receipt for proof of payment – When making a payment for your translation request, please see that you email the proof of payment (pdf document from bank) to info@afcapetown.co.za.
Please note that no duplicates can be given. Alliance Française du Cap does not keep any copies of the translations.
- Onsite – you can come and collect your completed translation at the reception of Alliance Française du Cap during our opening hours from Monday-Friday at 10:00am-15:00pm.
- Email – we can email you a certified scan of your translation. Also, please note that although this document is digital, it is certified by our sworn translator and does include both his signature and stamp.
Note: no duplicates of translation can be given. Furthermore, Alliance Française du Cap has a 30-day policy whereby we do keep any copies of translations on our system for longer 30 days.
