🎨First Thursday Cape Town Ship
📅 Thursday, 6 November 2025
🕙 6 PM
📍 Alliance Française du Cap, 155 loop street
Step into a powerful visual dialogue between identity, community, and place. CAPE TOWN SHIP, a photographic exhibition by belgian artist Jean-Luc VAN DAMME, captures intimate portraits and quiet strength from Cape Town’s townships places too often defined from the outside.
Through each striking image, Jean-Luc VAN DAMME invites viewers to see beyond stereotype and surface, offering a celebration of individuality and presence rooted in lived experience. It’s an exhibition of dignity, of gaze met with gaze, and of beauty found in everyday reality.
