Celebrate Francophonie Week with us! Alliance Française du Cap, in partnership with DÉFENSE DE LA LANGUE FRANÇAISE, invites its students (minimum level A2) to showcase their French language skills in the PLume d’or competition.

COMPETITION DETAILS

Who can participate? This exciting French language competition is designed for foreign students at Alliances Françaises around the globe.

When is it happening? Mark your calendars for Wednesday 20 March 2024, when the 2-hour competition will take place.

Where will it be held? Join us at your local Alliance Française, where teachers will supervise the competition under the guidance of the Alliance director.

What’s the challenge? The topic will be distributed to registered Alliances, who will provide each candidate with a copy for the competition.

How will it be evaluated? Local Alliance teachers will assess the first segment (language exercises out of 60). The top 3 papers will then be sent to DLF headquarters for the second part (written expression out of 40), to be evaluated by the DLF jury in France.

And the winners are… The authors of the top 100 papers will each receive a prestigious diploma. Additionally, the top 3 winners will be awarded cash prizes: €1,000 for first place, €300 for second place, and €200 for third place.
