Art Exhibition of the month

Exhibition of the month & First Thursday
“Rétro-spective” by Simon Ford | April 2024
AF du Cap, 155 Loop Street
Don’t miss the unveiling of “Rétro-spective” by the visionary artist Simon Ford, opening this April on the electrifying First Thursday, April 4th, with the artist himself in attendance! Join us for an extraordinary evening at AF du Cap on 155 Loop Street, where we’ll embark on a journey into the depths of nature’s resilience and beauty.
Delve into Ford’s profound exploration of the natural world through his captivating series, “Circles of Life.” Amidst the chaos of lockdown, Ford found solace in nature’s silent resilience, capturing the delicate dance of endangered insects and reptiles against the backdrop of our cultural, scientific, and spiritual symbols.
Each acrylic masterpiece, framed to perfection at 600x600mm, encapsulates the urgency of preserving our ecosystem. But it doesn’t stop there – these breathtaking works are also available as signed archival paper prints, lovingly framed in natural wood, in limited editions of 10.
Your support goes beyond appreciation; it’s a commitment to conservation. With each purchase, you’ll contribute to the vital work of the WWF (World Wildlife Fund), safeguarding the habitats of our planet’s most precious creatures.
Can’t make it on April 4th? Don’t worry! “Rétro-spective” will grace the walls of Alliance Française du Cap until April 29th, allowing ample time for you to experience the magic at your leisure. Mark your calendars, spread the word, and join us for an evening of inspiration and enlightenment at “Rétro-spective” by Simon Ford. See you there!
